It was a long time before savory oats were the newest breakfast trend. poha For thousands of centuries, the main meal of the day has been breakfast.

For someone who eats oatmeal daily, it’s a big deal to even consider changing teams. Poha gave me the inspiration I needed to change my routine and take a low-risk, high-reward approach.

What is Poha?

Poha is flattened, or steamed rice. It is also a shorthand term for many dishes that are made with it. There are thin, middle, and thick flakes. These produce a range in textures that is best for quick meals, instant snacks, or time-consuming creations. The flakes cook quicker than whole grain rice, and retain more nutrients than standard white rice.

Like Vietnamese broken rice, this unique format isn’t a defect but intentional feature. In modern factories, heavy rollers are used to flatten the grains like rolled oatmeal. Traditionally, and still to this day in some small villages, the rice is pounded by hand, earning the alternate description of “beaten rice.”

Chivda It is used in different regions, but it usually refers to the thinner variety that has been dry-roasted and spiced, which can be enjoyed as a crunchy snack.
