The marinated, tender, and flavorful chicken thighs are great on the barbecue or in the over. In this house, we eat a lot of chicken and this is my favorite method to cook boneless, skinless thighs.

It’s easy to make this weeknight dinner with a little planning. My oldest son compares the taste of this chicken to his favorite restaurant chicken dish, which makes this “fancy” tasting enough for a special occasion meal too, in my book!

Marinated chicken thighs

This marinade is tangy and savory, so the chicken thighs are skinless. The marinade is made up of a blend of spices, soy sauce and vinegar.

The marinade is ready to use after mixing all the ingredients. Just pour it over the chicken thighs, and let them marinate.

The longer you marinate the chicken thighs the better they will taste.

How long to marinate chicken thighs

I’ve made this chicken many different times now and marinating the chicken for the full 24 hours makes a big difference in the flavor for this recipe. 

The chicken takes 24 hours in total to prepare. However, the majority of this time is spent completely hands-off.
