This vegan yakisoba will taste just like the yakisoba you get from a Japanese hibachi grill, but it’s super easy to prepare at home! This vegan yakisoba is made with stir-fried vegetables and noodles in a tangy, sweet sauce. It’s delicious on its own or with your favorite plant protein.

Yakisoba has always been one of my favourite Japanese dishes. Unfortunately, I haven’t had the chance to enjoy it in a long time. It’s a delicious noodle dish that’s smothered by a sauce with umami flavors and is full of veggies. I used to order this dish at Japanese restaurants or hibachi, along with other dishes such as Japanese-style fried rice and vegetable sushi.

Although traditional yakisoba may not be vegan, it is often made with anchovy paste. One of the key ingredients in yakisoba is Worcestershire sauce. This sauce is usually made from anchovy paste. It’s also cooked on the same grill with other ingredients, like meat or eggs. I don’t really feel comfortable doing that.

So I made my own vegan noodles and they were just as tasty as those I had in restaurants. Easy to make too!
