Since starting out in the UK ten years ago, Veganuary has surged in popularity worldwide — particularly in the US, where the campaign is now taking place for the fifth time.
In the United States, over 400 businesses participated last year. Veganuary will be offered by a number of restaurants in 2024. The menus include new items such as salads, pizzas and sandwiches.
Veganuary, which encourages a shift in eating habits by encouraging a large number of participants to remain plant-based permanently after completing the challenge, has led to many food service outlets continuing to serve vegan dishes even after Veganuary ends.
